Jim Croce - You Don't Mess Around With Jim

I loved Jim Croce.

Not in any romantic sense, mind you. But I loved this man's style, his words, his music. I cried the day he died.

"You Don't Mess Around With Jim", Jim Croce's debut, could easily be mistaken for a greatest hits album. If you never heard any of Jim's other albums (there were 3 original releases total, and a bunch of post-humus releases), you'd still have to look at the tracks on this one and conclude he should be a legend. Sadly, he seems to have fallen into the "forgotten heroes" category of rock and roll.

The songs on this album are:
1. You Don't Mess Around With Jim
2. Tomorrow's Gonna Be A Brighter Day
3. New York's Not My Home
4. Hard Time Losin' Man 2:28
5. Photographs And Memories 2:07
6. Walking Back To Georgia 2:51
7. Operator [That's Not The Way It Feels] 3:49
8. Time In A Bottle 2:28
9. Rapid Roy [The Stock Car Boy] 2:44
10. Box # 10 2:26
11. A Long Time Ago 2:21
12. Hey Tomorrow
